It’s high time someone gave him a TV show of his own
Formerly an integral part of the Perrier award-winning show ‘Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars’, with Rich Hall, Christian Reilly’s career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Britain.
Now a solo stand-up performer and playing all the major comedy venues in his own right, Christian’s comic songs, improvisations, sharp wit and youthful energy have delighted audiences wherever he performs.
Christian uses his dynamic guitar and vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians. He recently wrote and performed for That Was Then This Is Now as musical counterpart to Richard Herring and Emma Kennedy, as well as giving his improvisation skills an outing on Radio 2’s Jammin’. He has also performed on The Graham Norton Show alongside if.comedy award winner Phil Nichol.
If you’re a fan of Bill Bailey or Rich Hall, you’re probably a Christian Reilly fan already
One of the most talked about new acts in the country, in 2012 Jonny was runner-up in the Chortle Student Comedy Award and So You Think You’re Funny? before sealing third place in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2013 competition.
In the same year, Jonny reached the final of the BBC Radio New Comedy Award and was the judge’s choice. In 2014 he was nominated for the Chortle Awards Best Newcomer.
The laughs are explosive
Danny McLoughlin began performing stand-up in 2007 and quickly reached the finals of the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year competition. He went on to perform as part of the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and, the following year, supported Al Pitcher on his UK tour. More recently, he has supported both Micky Flanagan and Sean Lock on their national tours and was crowned Best MC at the UK Comedy Awards 2016.
With an amiable, confident stage presence and a well written set Danny delivers material with more than just an immediate pay-off line, preferring to take the joke one or two steps further. Confident enough to take a risk on stage he does so not to the detriment of the audience, keeping them laughing along or hanging on every word. Not many comics could get a laugh from the notion of retro chocolate bars but Danny manages a full, gag packed routine with ease.
Danny has also appeared on Dave’s One Night Stand alongside Al Murray, Andy Zaltzman and Richard Herring.
He can recite an advertising jingle and still get plenty of laughs
